John Tyler Seitz
J.T. joined the firm in the early stages of the Covid-19 global pandemic in 2020. His practice primarily consists of defending the rights of individuals and businesses in a wide array of situations, including personal injury, construction, employment, and professional liability claims. Prior to joining the firm, J.T. practiced law in Great Bend, Kansas, where he gained extensive civil litigation experience representing the interests of individuals, companies, and municipalities.
During his second and third years of law school, J.T. worked with the City of Topeka’s Prosecution Division. While there, he successfully tried over forty criminal bench trials and negotiated countless fair plea bargains with defendants while enforcing the rights of crime victims. J.T. also worked with the KU Center for Technology Commercialization to evaluate the patentability and commercial potential for inventions and scientific discoveries made by University of Kansas faculty members and students. He served as a staff editor for the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy and was elected President of his class for the Student Bar Association.
In his spare time, J.T. enjoys camping, playing music, and running.
